If you have been to the northern part of Mindanao, there is a place there that stands out to a lot of visitors. Perhaps its name brings to mind cherished memories and the nostalgia of eating its homegrown and very tasty pastel buns with filling. Of course, I'm talking about Camiguin Island.


Camiguin visitors can't get enough of the mouthwatering pastry: Vjandep Pastel. If you have never been to Camiguin Island then their pastel is a very good introduction. And if you've been there already, well what better way to reminisce your moments there with every bite of Vjandep Pastel?


The ingredients of Vjandep Pastel buns includes the following: flour, eggs, milk, sugar, butter, shortening and yeast. While its filling includes milk, butter and eggs.


Vjandep Pastel is available in various flavors namely, cheese, langka (jackfruit), macapuno, mango and pineapple. It has made-to-order flavors also namely, durian, guava, strawberry and chocolate.


While there are other available flavors, you may opt to just taste the heavenly and original special yema flavor.
